i:FAO publishes cytric g8 version 8.9 - cytric now with travel management
for rail bookings
cytric g8 release 8.9 now provides the same detailed policy settings for
rail bookings as previously only available for air bookings. Companies can
now for example define specific service classes for certain company
locations, for departments and for routes. Europe’s most widely used
business travel system from Frankfurt-based software developer i:FAO now
also displays the CO2 footprint for every air booking and has integrated
additional airline discount programmes for additional savings in business
travel.
Many companies have complicated rules for rail travel: For some departments,
the use of second class rail travel is policy for business trips, although
upgrading to first class is also allowed for a certain journey duration. If
the trip takes several days, travelers may once again have to use second
class: all such travel policy conditions can be mapped in cytric’s latest
release 8.9. i:FAO has introduced its Rail Policy Manager for rail ticket
bookings with cytric. It allows the same detailed mapping of travel policies
to be realized in the rail sector as was previously the case for cytric
users making air bookings. cytric customers enjoy tangible benefits from
these extended travel policy options for rail bookings: travel management is
more precise resulting in reduced costs. The new Rail Policy Management
function in cytric 8.9 is valid for all ten European rail service providers
integrated with cytric.
cytric’s latest release also improves the platform on which discount systems
offered by airlines can optimally be used with cytric . After introducing
Lufthansa Pay As You Fly, SAS TravelPass and Austrian Airlines subscription
system (Austrian Abo), cytric has now fully implemented the “Air France
Carte d’Abonnement” discount system. During the booking procedure, cytric
checks the validity of the member card, automatically takes into account the
level of various discounts available for each booking and displays the
appropriately reduced price. The implementation of the Air France discount
system, together with the integration of French State Railways SNCF in 2008,
means cytric is comprehensively ready for use in France.
All innovations in this release:
cytric now lists CO2 emissions for each air booking. The values calculated
are displayed on the “flight options” page and allow users to compare
individual booking classes and flights taking the aspect of CO2 emissions
into account. i:FAO, as a company, is certified since 2006 by the Swiss
myclimate foundation as "climate neutral". cytric also now documents which
additional features an airline offers on a particular flight, for example a
bed, a bar or special entertainment system.
The Multi Rate Display function introduced in 2008 – providing a summary of
all feasible connections on a single day – now offers more detailed settings
for eventually displaying flights not covered by the company travel policy.
In DynaWeb(tm) a specific credit card can be assigned to each low fare
airline.
cytric now provides additional data for air fare comparisons and delivers
more accurate savings details for downstream systems, e.g. of travel
agencies.
The search radius for hotels of hotel programmes can now be individually
adjusted to prevent contract hotels being ignored.
cytric has implemented new interface options with the car rental provider
Sixt and now displays insurance options and extras in the car summary, also
displaying the gross Sixt bookings price inclusive of all taxes, charges and
obligatory extras.
All new functions and extensions are available free of charge to cytric
customers. All cytric customers expect and receive a package of upgrades and
new additions every six weeks. More: www.cytric.com
